What happens after you submit your listing?

The review steps, the timelines, and the changes you may be asked to make.

🏷️

This article is for sellers. It describes what happens between submitting your listing and it going live: who reviews it, within what timeframe, what may be asked of you, and how to respond.

Summary

  • Every listing is checked by our teams before going live: it's a quality guarantee for buyers, and therefore for your sale prices.
  • A response comes within 48 hours on average.
  • Three outcomes are possible: approval, a change request, or rejection.
  • During review, your listing is no longer editable from your Personal Space.
  • Once approved, publication is automatic, according to the calendar of the sale chosen.

2. What we check

Checkpoint
What we look at
Listing quality
A clear title, a complete description, no personal contact details in the text.
Consistency of information
The match between the category, the declared specifications, and the photos.
Photographs
Their number, sharpness, and how well they actually show the item, defects included.
Documents
The presence of the required supporting documents for the category, for example the registration document for a vehicle.
Sale settings
The starting price, the sale selected, the dates, and the collection terms.

3. The three possible outcomes

✅ Your listing is approved

It disappears from My Drafts and moves to My Sales with the corresponding status. There's nothing more for you to do: publication will happen automatically according to the sale's calendar.

✏️ A change is requested

Your listing returns to My Drafts with the Needs changes status, and you receive an email.

A speech-bubble icon appears on the relevant row: click it to read the reason. On mobile, it's shown in a gray box.

Correct the flagged points, then resubmit the listing for review. Our teams will then focus on the items you've adjusted.

❌ Your listing is rejected

The Rejected status is shown, along with a speech bubble giving access to the reason, and you receive an email.

A rejected listing can no longer be edited: the only action available is deleting it. You can create a new listing taking the reason given into account, or discuss it with your Agorastore contact.

4. The two most common requests

Reason
How to respond
Starting price too high
An adjusted amount is suggested to you, along with a comment explaining the goal: creating bidding momentum. You can accept the suggestion and resubmit the listing, or enter another amount and resubmit as well.
Incomplete listing
The missing items are specified (registration, mileage, running condition, registration document, additional photos...). Complete them, then resubmit the listing.
💡

A starting price adjusted downward isn't a devaluation of your item: it's a lever to attract more bidders and, in practice, achieve a better final price.

5. During review

⚠️

While your listing is awaiting review, you no longer have an edit option from My Drafts. If a correction is urgent, contact customer service.

If your item's status is Under review or Upcoming sale, a change request is still possible through our teams.

Our tips

  • Submit your listings at least a few days before the target sale opens, to allow for a possible back-and-forth.
  • Read the reason carefully before making corrections: a partial resubmission leads to another round trip.
  • Avoid phone numbers or links in your descriptions: it's a common reason for a request.
  • Anticipate the required documents for your category from the moment you create the listing.

Frequently asked questions

How long does review take?

A response is expected within 48 hours. Listings are reviewed several times a day.

How do I know where my listing stands?

The status shown in My Drafts tells you at any time, and you're notified by email at every change.

Can I fix a mistake during review?

Not from your Personal Space. Contact customer service, who can step in as long as the item isn't published yet.

How many times can I resubmit a listing?

There's no limit. Each new submission triggers a new review.

My listing is approved, why isn't it visible yet?

Because the sale it's placed in hasn't started yet. Publication follows that sale's calendar.

Is a rejection final?

For that specific listing, yes: it can only be deleted. Nothing stops you from offering the item again with a corrected listing.
