This article is for buyers. It guides you step by step through collecting an item you've just bought: where to find collection information, how to prepare your visit, and when to share your collection code.
Summary
- Collection is only possible once your payment has been confirmed.
- Collection information (address, time slots, on-site contact, instructions) is set by the seller and becomes available to you after your purchase.
- You receive a unique collection code: it should only be shared with the seller after you have collected the item.
- Transport, handling, and loading are your responsibility.
1. Before you head out
Step | What to do | Where |
1 | Check that your invoice status is paid | Buy › Purchase invoices |
2 | Note the address, time slots, and collection instructions | Collection information for your purchase and invoice |
3 | Write down your collection code | Invoice email and dedicated column in Purchase invoices |
4 | Download your collection form | Menu on the invoice line |
5 | Contact the seller to agree on the exact time | Contact details shown in the collection information |
Collection cannot be arranged until your payment has been confirmed. If you paid by bank transfer, allow for the bank processing time before planning your visit.
2. Prepare your visit
Equipment and resources to plan for
Loading is your responsibility: plan for a vehicle suited to the item's size and weight, the necessary handling equipment, and extra people if needed. Lifting equipment isn't always available on site.
Documents to bring
Your collection form or invoice, an ID document, and your collection code. If you use a carrier, give them these documents and notify the seller.
Site restrictions
Some sites have strict opening hours, entry checks, or required safety equipment. These instructions appear in the collection information: read them before you leave.
Having a third party collect the item
This is possible, provided you authorize the person and give them the correct documents.
To prepare
- A signed power of attorney from you.
- A copy of your ID (national ID card/passport).
- The winning bid confirmation email.
- Proof of payment.
- The collection code (it now replaces the former confirmation email/proof of payment).
Let the seller know in advance who the authorized person is.
3. On the day of collection
- Arrive at the agreed address and time slot, with your documents.
- Check the item with the seller: match with the listing, general condition, any accessories.
- Proceed with loading.
- Once you have the item in your possession, share your collection code with the seller.
- Get the following documents from the seller regarding the transfer of the item:
- a copy of the dated and signed collection form (stamped for companies)
- the certificate of sale if it's a vehicle
- the dated, crossed-out, and signed registration certificate if it's a vehicle
Never share your collection code before you have actually collected the item. As soon as the seller enters it, collection is considered complete and the funds are paid to them.
4. About the collection code
- It's generated automatically as soon as your payment is confirmed.
- It's sent to you by email along with your invoice and remains available in
Purchase invoices.
- It does not expire as long as collection hasn't been confirmed.
- It's for single use: once used, it can't be used again.
Our tips
- Contact the seller as soon as your payment is confirmed: time slots can be limited.
- Measure and weigh the item before coming: it's the top cause of missed collections.
- Inspect the item calmly on site before giving your code.
- Keep your collection form after pickup: it serves as proof of the transaction.

Do not share your code and do not load the item: report the situation to customer service the same day.
My code no longer works
It has probably already been used to confirm collection. Customer service can check the status of your case.

The vast majority of items must be collected on site. However, subject to the seller's agreement, you may arrange delivery to a different location.
What should I do if I can't collect my item before the end of the holidays/the stated deadline?
If you need extra time beyond the initial 15 days, you must contact the seller directly to agree together on a new collection date.
At the same time, please notify Agorastore by writing to sav@agorastore.fr, specifying your purchase reference (or invoice number) and the collection date agreed with the seller.
