This article is for all users, buyers and sellers alike. It explains the link between your personal account and the organization on behalf of which you act on Agorastore, and why this distinction determines what you can do from your personal space.
Summary
- Your account is strictly personal: it corresponds to one person, with their own login details.
- Your account is linked to an organization: all your actions (bids, listings, invoices) are carried out on behalf of that organization.
- An organization can bring together several colleagues, who share the same data but each have their own access.
- What you see in your personal space depends on two things: your organization's activities (buying, selling, or both) and the roles assigned to you.
- An individual also has an organization, created automatically at sign-up: they're its only member.
1. Personal account and organization: two concepts to tell apart
Your personal account | Your organization |
Corresponds to an individual person | Corresponds to an entity: company, public body, association, or individual |
Holds your login details, your email, and your mobile number | Holds the name, administrative information, addresses, and documents |
Holds your roles, and therefore your permissions | Holds the listings, purchases, invoices, and history |
Should never be shared | Can bring together several colleagues |
The account is always created before the organization. That's why the sign-up process starts with your personal information, then asks you to enter your organization if you're a professional.
2. What members of the same organization share
All colleagues linked to the same organization work on shared assets:
- the listings and drafts created by the organization;
- the bids placed and purchases made on its behalf;
- the invoices, payments, and payouts;
- the addresses saved and the documents submitted.
On the other hand, each colleague keeps:
- their own account and their own password;
- their own personal information;
- their own roles, and therefore their own permissions.
Practical consequence: two colleagues can see the same listing, but only one may be authorized to edit it. It's the role assigned to each of them that makes the difference.
3. The statuses of your account
Your account evolves throughout your sign-up. The status shown in your organization's member list tells you where each colleague stands.
Status | What it means |
To be validated | The account has just been created, the email address isn't confirmed yet. |
Email validated | The email address has been confirmed by clicking the link received. |
Number validated | The mobile number has been confirmed using the code received by SMS. |
Validated | The required information has been verified. |
Complete | The sign-up process is finished, all planned features are accessible. |
Blocked | Access to the platform is suspended. Contact customer service to find out why and what to do next. |
Blocking an account and blocking an organization are independent of each other. A colleague can be blocked without the organization's activity being interrupted, and vice versa.
4. One person, one organization
Your account is linked to a single organization at a time. If you need to act on behalf of another entity (for example a subsidiary or a partner structure), two situations are possible:
- An authorization is set up between the two organizations. You then keep your account and can open a session on behalf of the other organization: the features available are recalculated based on its rights.
- No authorization exists. A separate account must be created for that organization, with a different email address.
Setting up an authorization between two organizations is done with the help of your Agorastore contact or customer service. Don't hesitate to reach out to them if you manage several structures.
5. Why a feature might not be visible
If a menu or an action doesn't appear in your personal space, the cause is almost always one of the following two:
- Your organization doesn't carry out the relevant activity. For example, the
Sellmenu only appears if your organization is registered as a seller.
- Your role doesn't cover this feature. A colleague who only has the
Purchasesrole won't see the listing management screens.

Our tips
- Create one account per person rather than a shared account: you keep traceability of bids and listings.
- Regularly check your organization's member list, especially after someone leaves.
- Use a named email address rather than a generic one: it's the one that receives bidding, invoice, and collection notifications.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to create an organization if I'm an individual?
No, you have no specific steps to take. Your organization is created automatically when you sign up and you're its only member. You'll simply find your information and your addresses in your profile.
Can I belong to two organizations with the same account?
No. An account is linked to a single organization. If you need to act for another structure, an authorization can be set up between the two organizations: contact customer service.
Do my colleagues see my bids?
Yes, bids placed on behalf of the organization are part of the shared data. Colleagues with the Purchases role can view their tracking.
What happens if a colleague leaves the company?
Their account stays linked to the organization. We recommend asking customer service to block their account, rather than reusing their login details.
Can I change my organization's name?
An organization's administrative information (name, identification number, VAT number) is verified. A change request must be sent to customer service, who will make the change after checking it.
My account is blocked, what should I do?
Contact customer service. A block can be linked to an unpaid invoice or an ongoing verification. You can't lift it yourself, nor work around the situation by creating a new account.
