This article is for professionals (companies, public bodies, associations) creating their organization on Agorastore, whether to buy, to sell, or both. If you're an individual, your organization is created automatically: you don't need to complete any of these steps.
Summary
- The organization is created after your personal account, as a continuation of the sign-up process.
- You enter your identification number (SIRET in France), which automatically pre-fills the name and the VAT number.
- You then declare your activities: buying, selling, or both. This choice determines the menus visible in your personal space.
- A billing address is required to finish creating it.
- The first person who creates the organization automatically becomes its administrator and can then invite colleagues.
1. Before you start: what to prepare
Element | Details |
A validated personal account | Your email address and mobile number must have been confirmed. |
Your structure's identification number | SIRET for France. For structures abroad, the intra-community VAT number. |
The billing address | Address to which administrative and financial documents will be sent. |
Your intended use | Do you want to buy, sell, or both? |
Allow about 5 minutes. The process can be interrupted: your information is kept and you resume where you left off the next time you log in.
2. Creating your organization, step by step
Step 1 — Identify your structure
After your account is validated, the organization creation screen appears.
- Select your country.
- Enter your SIRET number (or the identification number matching your country).
- The structure's name and the VAT number are automatically filled in from this number. Check them and correct them if needed.
- Confirm to move to the next step.
If the number entered doesn't allow your structure to be found, check what you entered, then fill in the fields manually.
Step 2 — Declare your activities
Here you indicate what your structure wants to do on Agorastore:
- Buy: you'll be able to take part in bidding and pay your purchase invoices.
- Sell: you'll be able to create listings and track your sales.
- Both: both sets of features are activated.
At least one activity must be selected. If you declare a selling activity, accepting the General Terms and Conditions of Sale is required to continue.
Step 3 — Complete the organization's information
You enter the information that will appear on your documents: displayed name, contact details, and, where applicable, VAT scheme.
This information stays editable later from the Organization menu in your personal space.
Step 4 — Enter the billing address
The billing address is required for all organizations, buyers and sellers alike.
- First select the country.
- Use the address search: the number, street, postal code, and city fields fill in automatically.
- Add a complement if needed (building, department, floor).
- Save.
This address joins your organization's address book. You can add others afterward, including collection addresses if you sell.
Step 5 — Access your personal space
Once creation is complete, you're redirected to the page from which you started your sign-up, or otherwise to your profile.
Your personal space then shows the menus matching your activities:
Buyif your organization is a buyer;
Sellif your organization is a seller;
ProfileandOrganizationin every case.
3. Setting up your organization after creation
The Organization menu in your personal space brings together all the settings:
Tab | What it's for |
General information | Name, contact details, administrative information. |
Addresses | Address book for billing, viewing, and collection. |
Users | Member list, roles, and invitations. |
Documents | Supporting documents requested and their validation status. |
Administrative information (identification number, VAT number, legal name) is subject to checks. If you need to correct it after creation, send your request to customer service.
4. Adding an activity later
Signed up to buy and now want to sell (or the other way around)? This change isn't automatic: it goes through a request to your Agorastore contact or customer service.
Once the activity is added:
- the corresponding menu appears in the personal space of your organization's members;
- administrator members automatically receive the associated new roles;
- additional documents may be requested from you.
If the expected menu doesn't appear right after an activity is added, log out then log back in. If the problem persists, report it to customer service.
Our tips
- Have the organization created by the person who will manage it: they'll immediately have all the roles and can invite the others.
- Use a named email address for this first account, not a generic department address.
- Check the pre-filled VAT number before confirming: it will appear on your invoices.
- Save your collection addresses as soon as you create the organization if you plan to sell: you'll save time on your first listing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create my organization before my personal account?
No. The personal account is always created first; the organization is then linked to it.
My organization already exists on Agorastore, what should I do?
Don't create it a second time. Ask a member with the Organization role to invite you: you'll join the existing structure with your own login details.
What happens if I interrupt the process partway through?
Your information is kept from the moment your email address is validated. The next time you log in, you automatically resume at the step where you left off.
I'm a professional based abroad, is the SIRET requested from me?
No. The SIRET is only requested for French structures. Depending on the country selected, the identification number expected adapts, generally the intra-community VAT number.
Can the billing address be changed?
Yes, from the Organization menu, Addresses tab. We recommend updating it before a new invoice is issued.
Can I create several organizations for my different entities?
This is possible, and common for groups and public bodies with several legal entities. Contact your Agorastore contact: the links between structures and authorizations to act on behalf of one or the other are set up with their help.
