• How to use automatic bidding?

  If you use automatic bidding:

  1️⃣ Go back to the product page
  2️⃣ Click on "Bid" or "Modify my bid"
  3️⃣ Enter a new maximum amount (higher than the previous one)
  4️⃣ Confirm

  What happens:

  ✅ Your new maximum replaces the old one
  ✅ The system will continue to bid automatically for you up to this new amount
  ✅ You remain competitive against other bidders

  If you use simple bidding:

  You can always place a new, higher bid as long as the sale is not over.

  Important ⚠️:

  - You can only increase your bid, never decrease it
  - Each bid is legally binding
  - Think carefully before increasing your maximum

  Tip 💡: Set your actual maximum price from the start that you are willing to pay to avoid bidding higher in the heat of the moment!

• How do I participate in a sale and track my bids as a buyer?

  Participating in auctions on Agorastore is simple. Here is everything you need to know to place bids and track your participation.

  ✅ Account validation for bidding

  Good news: you can start bidding immediately after registering.

  The fact that your documents have not yet been checked or validated does not prevent you from starting to bid.

  Exception: Access validation for a sale, sent by email, will only be required if authorization is requested for a sale reserved for professionals.

  📊 Tracking my current bids

  To access your bid history:

  1. Log in to your personal account
  2. Go to the “My favorites and bids” section

  You will find all the lots you have bid on, whether ongoing or finished.

  🔔 Notifications during auctions

  In case of an outbid:

  • Email alerts are automatically sent to you
  • Be sure to add Agorastore to your favorites to prevent these messages from going to spam

  ⚠️ Note: During the last two hours of a product's sale, email alerts are no longer sent to avoid flooding your inbox. Make sure to check the product page directly during this period.

  🏆 If you win the bid

  At the end of the sale, if you are the highest bidder:

  1. You will be notified by email within 72 hours
  2. You must wait for the seller to confirm the sale
  3. You will then receive the email certifying that you have won the lot

• How to place a bid on Agorastore?

  To place a bid on Agorastore:

  1️⃣ Find the product you are interested in
  Search for and open the item listing

  2️⃣ Check the information
  - Current price
  - Details of fees related to the sale
  - Closing date
  - Terms of sale

  3️⃣ Click on "Bid" or a similar button

  4️⃣ Enter your amount
  Enter the amount you wish to offer (must be higher than the current bid + the minimum increment)

  5️⃣ Choose your bidding method:
  - Simple bid: You offer a specific amount
  - Automatic bid: Set a maximum amount, the system will bid for you up to that amount

  6️⃣ Confirm your bid ✅
  Review the amount and confirm

  Important ⚠️:
  - Your bid is legally binding
  - Once confirmed, you cannot cancel it
  - Make sure you are able to complete the purchase

• Can anyone participate in all sales?

  In principle, auctions on Agorastore are open to everyone: individuals, professionals, public entities, or associations. In most cases, you simply need to be registered and logged in to Agorastore to participate in the auctions. 

  However, some sales are reserved for certain categories of professionals (specific activities): these are conditioned sales. This information appears in the participation conditions on the product page. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can request to participate from the product page.

• Do I have to be registered in order to bid?

• Why is there a difference between the price displayed on the product and the final auction amount?

  On the new platform, the displayed price now corresponds to the amount excluding tax and service fees.
  👉 This means that the visible price is not yet the final amount.

  📌 What makes up the final amount (what you will pay when bidding): 

  ✔️ The displayed price (starting price or winning bid)

  ✔️ + VAT, depending on the type of seller:

  • 0% for public sellers
  • 20% for private sellers

  ✔️ + Service fees

  🔍 Where to see the details?

  You can view the full breakdown:
  👉 By expanding the “Total amount” line in the bidding block
  👉 In the “Sale info” section of the product page

  💡 Good to know

  Previously, prices were displayed including tax.
  Today, they are displayed excluding tax and fees, which may explain the difference you notice.
